Half Ironman

Bob has worked so hard for the last few months to train for this Half Ironman. It was 70.3 miles of swimming, biking, and running in Lubbock. He finished in 5 hours and 35 minutes. He was happy with his time and had a great race! I am so proud of him. It was a rough week emotionally for our family--we found out Wednesday that my pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy (the baby was growing in fallopian tube) and had surgery Thursday morning. It wasn't the most ideal few days leading up to a huge race and I'm so proud of him for taking care of me, the boys, and still do this race. He even went early to the race that morning to haul a cooler and camping chairs for me so I didn't have to carry anything. He amazes me and I love him so much... We had some great friends come down from Montana for the race too! Five hours waiting went by super fast with great friends to play with. It was a great weekend and I'm really glad I decided to go!
